Women’s History Month wrapped up in style with the Kingdom Builders Luncheon, hosted by District Missionary Shirelle Jackson of the Greater Hope District, New York Western Second Jurisdiction of COGIC. More than just a luncheon, this gathering was a powerful tribute to the women who have dedicated their lives to faith, service, and community impact.

Honoree Mother Yancey
The event honored Mother Wilma J. Hughey, State Supervisor of the Department of Women, for her trailblazing leadership and unwavering service. Mother Yancey, District Missionary Emeritus, was celebrated for 19 years of dedication to the Greater Hope District. And in a heartfelt moment, the memory of Mother Janet Clark was uplifted—her warm spirit and commitment to hospitality left a lasting mark on those who knew her.

Beyond the awards and recognition, the luncheon was a call to action. Each attendee received a symbolic towel, a reminder that true leadership means serving others—even when it gets messy. “Your towel will get dirty when you help build the Kingdom,” a message that resonated deeply with the crowd.

With fellowship, inspiration, and a renewed commitment to service, the Kingdom Builders Luncheon wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration. A reminder that women of faith continue to shape their communities, lift others up, and build legacies that will stand the test of time.
